WesleyLife, Iowa’s largest and most comprehensive provider of health and well-being services for older adults, announced today the addition of a regional healthcare leadership veteran to lead its clinical efforts.
Liz Davidson, most recently Director of Clinical Services and Nurse Consultant for LeadingAge Iowa, has joined WesleyLife as Vice President of Clinical Excellence, a new position for the organization, which has expanded its operations into Illinois, is developing two new communities, and is poised for further growth.
“We are excited to welcome Liz to the team,” Janet Simpson, Vice President of Network Operations for WesleyLife, said. “Her experience serving and advocating on behalf of older adults will assist WesleyLife in enhancing and activating its vision around health and well-being while continuing to focus on quality hospitality and service. We are grateful for the opportunity to benefit from Liz’s experience and expertise as a leader in our market.”
In her new position, Davidson, of Ankeny, will lead WesleyLife’s clinical services, including Assisted Living, Memory Support, Long-Term Care, and Short-Term Rehabilitation. She will also partner with WesleyLife’s robust network of home and community services to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality measures, and promote a focus on service integration. She will lead strategic initiatives around superior service and seamless interactions while executing the organization’s clinical quality philosophies, practices, and systems.
Prior to joining LeadingAge Iowa, the state chapter of the nationwide advocacy organization for
not-for-profit senior living, Davidson worked for 20 years as a director of nursing, a
health facilities surveyor, a regional nurse consultant, and a deputy program manager and
quality-of-care monitor with the Office of Inspector General.
Davidson also represented LeadingAge Iowa membership in collaborating with the governor's
office and other healthcare partners in the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) group,
and is a member of the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) advisory council representing post-acute care. She participates in the Nursing Home Quality Partners group, and is secretary of the
Iowa Falls Prevention Coalition.
Davidson's first day with WesleyLife was January 11. She is based in the organization's corporate office in Johnston.
