An aggressive growth strategy resulting in expansion into new markets has prompted WesleyLife, Iowa’s most comprehensive provider of services for older adults, to add an experienced executive director to its leadership roster.
Michelle Lindeman joins WesleyLife as Executive Director of The Summit of Bettendorf, the organization’s 12th community and the first new campus developed by WellSpire, a partnership of WesleyLife and Genesis Health System of Davenport. The Community for Healthy Living, opening later this year, will focus on enhancing the health and well-being of residents and clients in levels of living ranging from independent and assisted living to memory care, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term healthcare.
Lindeman, of Savanna, Illinois, brings 20-plus years of healthcare and senior living leadership to her new role, serving most recently as a regional executive director for Ascension Living. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Clare College in Clinton, Iowa, and a master’s degree in public administration from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
“The addition of Michelle to an already strong WellSpire leadership team further strengthens our commitment to growth, expansion, and outlook on the future,” Janet Simpson, Vice President of Network Operations for WesleyLife, said. Via The Summit, WellSpire is bringing a new kind of senior living to eastern Iowa and western Illinois — and Lindeman will help to lead that charge, she said.
In addition to The Summit, WellSpire is also developing Fieldstone of DeWitt, a new community that will replace an existing campus in DeWitt, Iowa. Expansion and enhancement projects are planned for WesleyLife communities in Des Moines, Indianola, and Pella as well.
Lindeman will be based in WellSpire’s Bettendorf office until the Summit opens, then will office out of that community.
