About WellSpire

The product of a partnership between WesleyLife and Genesis Health, WellSpire, announced in January, will strengthen a common mission to pave the way for older adults in the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois to lead healthy, fulfilling lives that focus on purpose and well-being.

As WesleyLife brings its 72 years of experience and expertise serving older adults to Genesis Health System’s strong healthcare brand and existing senior living portfolio, the forming of WellSpire creates an opportunity for the joined organizations to serve senior markets in both states through a comprehensive health and wellness network.

Under the terms of the partnership, WellSpire assumed management July 1, 2019, of Genesis Health System senior living campuses in DeWitt, Iowa (Westwing Place), and Silvis, Illinois (Crosstown Square Apartments / Illini Restorative Care). The organization will break ground September 26 for The Summit of Bettendorf, a new senior living community in Bettendorf, Iowa, that will feature a full continuum of levels of living with a focus on health and well-being.

When the partnership was announced earlier this year, Doug Cropper, President and CEO of Genesis Health System, said the affiliation would benefit the senior community by aligning a wide range of services. "The partnership positions the new organization to be the single solution in the region for senior services,’’ Cropper said. "We're excited to partner with WesleyLife, which shares our commitment to seniors and serving their needs.’’

Rob Kretzinger, CEO of WesleyLife, echoed Cropper's enthusiasm.

“The WellSpire brand is built upon the strength of two trusted organizations with a shared focus on health and well-being,” he said. “As we encourage residents and clients to live their lives with purpose and meaning, we’ll strive to remind older adults in the Quad Cities that the second half of life can truly be the best half.”
