JOHNSTON, Iowa – Sept. 18, 2015 – Three of WesleyLife’s Communities for Healthy Living were recently recognized as “2014-2015 Excellence in Action” award recipients by the My InnerView by National Research Corporation. WesleyLife is a nonprofit organization based in Johnston, Iowa, serving older adults, wherever they call home.
A total of four awards were presented to the following WesleyLife communities based on the results of their resident satisfaction surveys, ranking in the top 10 percent nationally. WesleyLife was one of only seven organizations in Iowa that achieved this distinction.
- Edgewater of West Des Moines – Independent living
- Heritage House of Atlantic – Assisted living
- Heritage House of Atlantic – Independent living
- The Village of Indianola – Independent living
“I’m proud of the work all of the WesleyLife team members do to meet the needs of our residents. This survey is confirmation that we are delivering the highest quality of service and care to our residents and their families,” said Rob Kretzinger, WesleyLife CEO. “Their efforts exemplify WesleyLife’s core values of quality, integrity, dignity, community and stewardship. It’s why more and more people are calling WesleyLife’s communities home, and why individuals utilize our home-based services designed to engage and empower others to live longer, healthier lives.”
The Excellence in Action award recognizes long-term care and senior living organizations that achieve the highest level of excellence. This is demonstrated by overall resident satisfaction scores that rank within the top 10 percent of the My InnerView by the National Research Corporation, the largest proprietary satisfaction database for senior care in the United States.
“The Excellence in Action award isn't just any quality performance award," said Jason Stevens, senior vice president of Business Development at National Research. "Rather, it's an award that defines what it means for providers to provide the right kind of care—patient-centered care—for their residents, families and employees. It's an honor and well-deserved accomplishment for repeat winners and new organizations alike."
Winners must have scored in the top 10 percent of qualifying facilities on the question: “What is your recommendation of this facility to others?” in terms of the percentage of resident respondents rating the facility as “excellent.”
