National Advocacy Organization Honors Senior Living Teams accent

June 4, 2021 | By

Kristy VanDerWiel, Vice President of Strategy and Mission Integration for WesleyLife, sent the following to WesleyLife leaders this morning. Congratulations to ALL who have made a difference in the lives of those we serve!

You may be familiar with LeadingAge, the nationwide advocacy organization for not-for-profit senior living.  WesleyLife is a longtime member, and each year, we look forward to the announcement of LeadingAge’s Award of Honor.  The recipient’s story is always inspirational.

This year, I have to admit I got a little teary-eyed when we learned that this year’s Award of Honor recipient is … all of us. Every member of LeadingAge.

All of YOU and YOUR TEAMS.

This year has been one of unprecedented hardship for many in the WesleyLife family.  And still … you persevere.  You gown up.  You mask up.  You lead.  You put one foot in front of the other to continue to carry out our mission for the benefit of those who have placed their trust in us.

I want to share this 5-minute video from LeadingAge with you. I encourage you watch it as your time allows, and to share it with your teams.

Know that you are seen, that you are valued, and that you are so very much appreciated.   I am grateful for the moments I get to connect with you – and am honored to work alongside all of you.
