WesleyLife has announced that Craig Flanagan will join the organization on Monday, August 31, as Chief Financial Officer, a role that will help lead the organization’s aggressive growth and development strategy.
Flanagan will help further position WesleyLife to help increasing numbers of individuals lead lives of enhanced purpose, meaning, health, and well-being, wherever they call home. He will be based in the organization’s corporate headquarters in Johnston.
Flanagan joins WesleyLife from the Omaha-based Mosaic, an 11-state healthcare organization offering Medicaid-funded and private-pay services. Prior to his time with Mosaic, he served for 18 years as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer for UnityPoint Health, successfully managing a $425 million operating budget and growing operating revenues by 21 percent.
He also spent a year as interim CFO for Central Coast VNA and Hospice, a Monterey, California-based community hospice, home care, and community services provider serving that state’s central coast.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Craig, who brings to us not only extensive financial expertise, but energy, focus, and passion for our mission,” Rob Kretzinger, CEO of WesleyLife, said. “As we remain on a path of unprecedented growth and development, Craig’s experience and vision, coupled with the talents of an already strong team, will keep us well poised to serve greater numbers of individuals than ever before.”
In Flanagan’s new role, the Waterloo, Iowa native and University of Northern Iowa alumnus will be responsible for WesleyLife’s financial strategy, planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, and accounting operations as the organization focuses on new and existing development across Iowa and into western Illinois. WesleyLife is currently building its 11th community, with ground scheduled to be broken for at least two more major projects this year.
